The emergence of the ‘blogosphere’ has turned everyday citizens into internet publishers with the capability of reaching a world-wide audience while requiring only minimal computing & typing skills. This has spawned countless blogs (including this filthy rag) covering every niche & interest under the sun. Pretty cool right? Unfortunately there is a flip-side…

‘Blogging’ has confirmed what most logical Americans have known for years – there are MILLIONS of morons out there. Millions. And the worst part about morons is that they are so dumb they actually believe the nonsensical fiction that they preach. Take this except from the blog ‘Made with US Pride’ (whose URL will NOT be promoted here) for example:

“To me there no difference between Islam and Radical Islam.  Islamists around the world cheered during 9/11 – they want nothing more than the destruction of the Western world and if they can’t accomplish it through terrorism they will use more subtle means.  Embracing Islam is akin to opening the gates for the “Trojan Horse”.  They will be more than happy to attack from within.”

What the fuck is an Islamist? The author can’t even use the correct term for followers of Islam, yet then claims to know what the real intentions of over one billion people are. That shows an impressive understanding of the culture. And you can check the history on this, but it seems that the old ‘Trojan Horse’ went out of style about 3000 years ago – probably not gonna fall for that one again…

Remedial opinions such as these are why ‘The Diatribe Daily’ will be lobbying Congress to introduce a bill known as the ‘Act to Stop Simpletons from Speaking’ or ASSS for short. You can read the detailed proposal here, but basically it will require anyone who wishes to publish their opinion online to first obtain a license to do so. Applying for said license, known as the ‘Complete Chromosome Card’ would require the would-be publisher to pass a general knowledge test containing questions designed to gauge whether or not the applicant knows his/her ass from a hole in the ground.
