PEDs: A Tribute to Hardworking Americans

by editor on Jun.30, 2009, under Sports

‘Pushing Every Day’ is the motto, but for these PED-heads the motto is mantra – a way of life. Dedicated professionals committed to the PED lifestyle are always striving for perfection, putting in that ‘little something extra’ to maximize their potential and remain the master of their respective domains. The effort, grit, and determination of hard-working Americans such as these are the inspiration for an entire nation – perhaps even the world – and as such ‘The Diatribe Daily’ will be running a sporadic series of pictorials featuring the cream of the PED-crop… Collect them all!

Angel Presinal Clearly Has Nothing to Do With Steroids

by editor on Jun.19, 2009, under Sports

The anatomically incorrect 56-year-old Angel Presinal is considered to be THE premiere personal trainer for professional baseball players, many of whom travel from all corners of the globe to ‘work out’ at his training facility in the Caribbean. Known affectionately as ‘Nao’ (which loosely translates to ‘Take This, Get Big’ in English) for being able to turn a Christopher Mintze-Plasse physique into John Cena almost overnight. But please don’t misunderstand – the transformation has absolutely NOTHING to do with steroids whatsoever.

According to an article by ESPN’s Mike Fish, Major League Baseball dubbed Presinal a ‘persona non grata’ effectively banning him from stepping foot inside all MLB clubhouses following an incident involving and unmarked bag of hypodermic needles, bottles of clear liquid, and Canadian border agents. When the dust settled, no formal charges were brought against Presinal as it turned out to be just another case of injectable vitamins being confused with illegal substances, and of course had absolutely NOTHING to do with steroids whatsoever.

Where being banned from every major ballpark across the United States might stop the average personal trainer (see Richard Simmons), the wily Presinal outmaneuvered MLB officials by simply moving his operation to the Dominican Republic – a country where anabolic steroids, HGH and other performance enhancers just happen to be completely legal, and also where the vast majority of major league talent originates from. Quite a coincidence, which is funny because the move had absolutely NOTHING to do with steroids whatsoever.
